Ripe, succulent, spicy.
This estate grown Syrah expresses what BC can do with this variety in the warmest of our terroirs; it is harvested from the BOV estate vineyard in Oliver and the Eva Vineyard in Osoyoos
It was aged 15 months in 54% French, 30% American, 13% Hungarian and 3% Russian, with 27% new, 4% one-year, and 69% third fill and older oak.
Expect black raspberry and plum jam, vanilla, licorice, baking spices and fine white pepper along with sweet mocha undertones. A concentrated balance of sweet and savoury on the palate it delivers brown spice, dark chocolate, espresso, tobacco, leather and black fruits. Good length here with oak (albeit not overt) flavours on the finish.
Overall a ripe version with good structure.
